Middle Eastern Dance 
SVS clients now have the opportunity to participate in belly dancing lessons
at the Bahiyya Alma dance studio in Bakersfield each week.
In addition to being a lot of fun, it is great exercise and a wonderful outlet for self expression.
Participating SVS consumers include Alison Terry, Judeen Rail, Gina Imera and Cheryl Dermer.
According to Gina, some initial shyness with the dance moves quickly went away because she was with friends.
She especially appreciates the help of the dance instructor.
"In the beginning she held up my arms when I was doing the snake arms.
Now I know how to do it on my own."
